Mothering & studying? Possible!

Hi there!

It's been long time I didn't write here...

You know , in this September (almost 3 months ago) I started studying again. I decided to be an interpreter-guide in my new city of living St-Petersburg. To be a guide was my dream for a long time!

In august I decided that it's right time to go because of several reasons: 

1⃣ My daughter became 1 year old, so she became older!

2⃣ I was tired to seat & home & to do "nothing" (of course, I can't say, that sitting at home with your baby is nothing, it's GREAT & hard work! BUT: you feel tired & monotony , that's why there's a feeling of doing "nothing")

3⃣ I got a feeling that I started to forget language & to loose my interpreting experience

4⃣ As I already said, it was my dream to be a guide, especially guide-interpreter!

I knew, that all such courses start in September, & last for a 5 months. I've chosen Derzhavin Institute for my education, successfully passed oral & writing tests & got in!:)

2 days a week I have to listen for a 3 hours lectures, & once a two weeks we're practicing our knowledge in the museums & other historical, worth-seeing objects!

Thanx God for my husbent who seats all this time with our daughter!

But he thinks that I go to the institute not for studying, just to spend time, & not to be at home!

Of course, there is such reason also, but 1st one is studying! I hope, that I'll prove him everything when I would practicing & giving sightseeing tours in St-P. for foreigners!:)

By the way, I'm happy that I've chosen such way of studying, & I'm sure that I'll get fun & satisfying of such profession!

Choosing a stroller for a baby!

It's 3d time I'm choosing a pram for a baby, & every time I buy not known model for me.

Every time before going to the shop for smth for baby, first I read in the Internet about it, some comment, specifications, etc. And I always have some 2-3 variants in my mind for choice in the shop. But when I come & see it alive, touch & try everything, I choose smth new, unknown for me, about what I didn't read before!  

❤First pram for my baby was *Bebe Car Stylo Class*. I bought it in Russia & it was cost about 900€

We had white one, here it is:

We used it from born to 8months. It's very  beautiful, with big wheels, like a coach:) It has good maneuverability & amortization.

❤Second pram was stroller *Brevi Grillo*.

Stroller 0-36 month conforms to 0m+: can be transformed into a carrycot.
Grillo is the ideal stroller for those looking for maximum practicality and flexibility.
Ideal in the city or when travelling, for those who regularly use public transport, have little space in the car. 

We bought it in Italy , when Stephanie was 3,5 months. And used it when travelling first, & then every day! The price of this stroller was about 150€.

We chose beige-gray color of this stroller.different positions, as far as the sleeping position, by simply pressing one button on the back

It's very good "car" for a baby! Backrest reclines to 3 positions as far as the sleeping position.

It has Practical side handle for easy carrying & Book folding: free-standing when closed:

We used it a lot & with pleasure!

But my baby's very big, & grow with a speed & we decided to bye a new stroller!

❤ Third pram is *Baby Jogger City Mini*

It's American one. When I went to the shop in Italy, I was going to buy Italian stroller "Chicco", "Brevi" or "Inglesina", But when we listed all our "wants" (wide seat because of baby's size) & "must" (wheels suitable for Russian winter) shop assistant showed us this pram!

Firstly I didn't want it. I didn't like how it's look, & it's colors, & the price in 360€ was repellent, but we decided to bye it!

Only using it, driving, etc, I felt all advantages of this stroller! 

Patented Quick-fold technology allows to fold stroller with one hand; there is swivel front wheel for quick &agile maneuverability, you can lock it into place also!

Of corse I like this color, but in the shop were only 4 another colors, & I chose:

After my previous light grey (dirty after using) pram, I appreciate dark color, & think that it will suit for my future son!

So, choosing a stroller isn't difficult thing, if you know, what & what for you want!

Last days I have a feeling that I'm depending on Instagram.  This instagramo-mania went me to decision not to seat there for a 1 week! Last evening I even deleted icon of this program from my phone!

And now I understand, that I really dependent on it, because waked up in the middle of the night (to give my baby a milk) First I wanted to do: to go to the Instagtam! But it's deleted, & experiment is continued!:)

1 week before a great day!

1 year & 1 week ago I gave life to my princess Stephanie!

It was the best day, full of happiness! I remember it so clearly, as today!

Now it's time to think of her 1st year celebration party!

As we're in Italy now, there won't be any friends, children, etc., just me - her mummy, my parents - her grannies, and my husband - her daddy!

I started my preparation about 1,5 months ago, when ordered wooden words: "Bambola Stefania", (bambola is a doll in English). Now I'm going just to color it! (This words will be good decoration of our party, & can be good decoration of Stephanie's room in the future)

Also about 1 month ago I ordered to have our dresses made to my friend *UNO-fashion*! We've chosen striped "sailor's" dresses! Today we got it!

Also today we've bought different party-staff (plates, napkins, balloons, candle for a cake & other decorations). Everything is with Micckey! Automatically we'll have Micckey party on 23.08))

Also I'm going to sew heart-pillows with Stephanie's name! Recently I've already sewed one for another baby-girl:

And of course, what b-day is without a cake? I' m going to order it! Or may be we'll do it by ourselves with my mummy!

After a b-day party I'll definitely write a post here!))

Bilingual children

Hi, there!

it has been long since my last post!

But now I decided to continue my blog.

Why in English, so, because I have a feeling that I forget it!... So, I decided to practice it here!

Rereading of my posts give me idea of first topic!

"Bilingual children"

Let me say, that I became mummy nearly 1 year ago!

My Princess Stephanie was born on 23.08.12 

You know, I wasn't that sort of mummies who say: my baby's the most beautiful in the world! I was of course as happy as I hadn't ever been, but on the question: tell us, how is she?! I answered to all my relatives, that she's very funny & has daddy's shape of her eyes & ears!

08.12.2010 I posted a topic about children & how I'd translated them!

In that post I said: "And today I absolutely decided that my future baby also would be bilingual. I think it’s great! And in the future it would be easier for him to learn lot's of languages"

Unfortunately I don't speak in English with Stephanie, but I really tried to do it! The most difficult thing for me was: I don't know *motherese* & *baby-talk*, but if you ever were a parent, you understand, that it's "a must" to speak with your baby in a baby-talk!

But I still want she knows several languages! And they're russian, English & Italian! Explain my choice! Russian, because of daddy & country of living; English because of me; and Italian because of most visited place!

How I'm going to teach her?

🔠 English:

- she has lots of english books; 

- Sometimes I talk to her in English, 

- sometimes sing English songs; 

- every day I show her special programs learning English with songs, funny heroes, etc. for example: Tiny love! & Little Pim (this program also is in different languages). Stephanie loves to watch it all even more than cartoons, & I'm happy that it's so!))

🔠 Italian: 

Last September my parents went to Italy on permit stay. That's why now every time I want grannies nurse with their granddaughter I'm going to Italy, by the way weather & nature is also favorable for a child there! 

So, Stephanie hears Italian speech hear, & I think in the future she'll know Italian even more than English!
